Two Suspects Arrested in Connection with the Murder of Media Personality DJ Warras
The Gauteng police have made a significant breakthrough in the case of the murder of Warrick Stock, widely known as DJ Warras. Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting that occurred on December 16, 2025, at the Zambesi House building in the Johannesburg Central Business District (CBD).
The arrests came after a thorough investigation, during which the police took two individuals into custody for questioning on Monday. These individuals have since been officially detained and are facing charges related to the murder. Initially, investigators suspected the involvement of three people in the ambush, but the recent arrests have narrowed down the focus.
DJ Warras, a well-known media personality, was providing security services at the Zambesi House when he was called to the premises. Tragically, he was shot and killed outside the building. The police spokesperson, Brenda Muridili, confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, and authorities are actively searching for any additional accomplices who may have been involved.
"The two persons of interest who were brought in for questioning on December 22, 2025, have been detained and will be charged with the murder of DJ Warras," Muridili stated. "They are expected to appear at the Johannesburg Magistrates Court on Wednesday."
The case has sparked further interest and concern, especially given DJ Warras' background. It is reported that he had a protection order against five people due to genuine threats. Additionally, it has come to light that DJ Warras was in the process of creating a 'blueprint' to tackle hijacked buildings, which adds another layer of complexity to the investigation.
